Andrew Lambrou is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Sydney, Australia. Andrew’s passion for music started early on when he started attending music school and receiving piano lessons. Winning the school’s eisteddfod vocal competition at the age of 5 where he sang ‘Doh a Deer’ from the ‘Sound of Music’ was in essence his baptism into stage performing which led him to start singing lessons. His journey into music and singing continued, with the full support of his parents, at ‘La Voce’ school of signingunder the guidance of vocal coach Marc Villagra. It was singing at this school’s monthly shows and in front of an audience that made Andrew realize that singing and performing was what he wanted to do in life.

Following in the footsteps of so many artists, Andrew started sharing videos on social media that started to get the attention of followers whose numbers kept growing and whose reach expanded as far away as Europe and America. The countless comments under his covers on platforms such as youtube, Instagram and later tiktok and in so many languages,inspired Andrew to continue reaching people across the globe through his music. This consistency in uploading content every week led to his following growing steadily and his videos shared across the globe, reaching impressive numbers such as 2 million views on his ‘Dusk till Dawn’ cover on YouTube.

At the age of 17, Andrew Lambrou caught the attention of Sony ATV Publishing and was signed by Maree Hamblion. This granted Andrew the opportunity to work witha great number of leading musicians and writers in Australia but also in LA where he spenta number of months but also enabled him to find his own style and soul in song writing. Andrew is a firm believer in staying loyal to one’s self when writing or singing and in letting the natural process of melodies and influences in life be mirrored in what ends up on a piece of paper or in a recording studio.

Today, Andrew is signed with City Pop Records and represented by the New York based ‘Saiko Management’. Hehas so far released three singles, namely:‘Throne’, ‘Lemonade’ and ‘Electrify’, the song with which he participated in ‘Australia Decides’. In October 2022, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation(CyBC)announced that Andrew Lambrou will represent Cyprus, his parents’ homeland, at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) to be held in Liverpool, UK. In this regard, Andrew has also signed with Panik Records,the leading label in both Greece and Cyprus,with whom the CyBC maintains an agreement, for theESC entry butalso for future releases which will be taking place in cooperation between his two labels
